When a hole is finished a bore log must be completed and copies made, one for the driller, one for the land holder and one for the Dept of Water End Energy.
A bore log(form A) is a record of the following:
Start and finish date
Name and address of the landholder
Name of the driller
Type of drilling method
Diameter of hole drilled
Complete strata details
Casing type, diameter, thickness and how it is sealed
Surface casing details
Any flow test or pump test details
Any geophysical logging information if used
Bore development procedure and record
Where the bore is located, showing North and distances to adjoining properties including GPS coordinates
Bore disinfection details
Standing Water Level
As the hole is being drilled, a driller will keep a field diary and record all the relevant details as they present themselves.
